From 1907-09, London travelled across the Pacific in a small boat, journeying to the Polynesian and Micronesian Islands. Drawn largely from his cultural experiences in the Pacific, this is a dark collection of eight tales about the South Sea. Originally published in 1911, the collection includes "Mauki," "The Terrible Solomons," "The House of Mapuhi," "The Whale Tooth," "Yah! Yah! Yah!," "The Heathen," "The Inevitable White Man," and "The Seed of McCoy."  (PAC85, $7.95)
