Writer and illustrator Sophie Webb has always loved drawing penguins, but nothing could have prepared her for adventures with them in Antarctica. Webb documents her two-month stay at Cape Royds on Ross Island, site of a long-term study of Adelie penguins. Her detailed journal entries are complemented by watercolor illustrations that will appeal to the intended 9-12 year-old audience.
