First published in 1934 as "Tents in Mongolia," Haslund's account combines his tales of adventure and misadventure with notes on gods, myths and Shamans. This facsimile edition in the Mystic Traveller Series includes the original black-and-white photographs and maps. Haslund -- a member of Sven Hedlin's 1927-30 Central Asiatic Expedition -- wrote several books on early 20th century Mongolia, including this one and "Men and Gods in Mongolia."  (MGL13, $16.95)
