This omnibus is a treat indeed: all six of Bemelmans's "Madeline" stories, collected in a single volume. That's 352 pages of Parisian schoolgirls, poor beset Miss Clavell and (could we ever forget him?) Pepito, the Spanish ambassador's irrepressible son.
