Lonely Planet Trans-Siberian Railway
by Simon Richmond
- GUIDEBOOK
- 2009
- PAPER
- 384 PAGES
A guide to the railway and, especially, stops en route from Vladivostok to Moscow it in the hallmark Lonely Planet style. With 35 sketch maps covering routes and major cities, a section of color-photos, and a brief language guide. We still like Bryn Thomas's classic (and often revised) guide (RUS73) but this isn't a bad first try for Lonely Planet. Get both of them. With chapters on the Trans-Mongolian and Trans-Manchurian sections of the railway.
