A collection of sixteen short stories by the noted Chilean author, many set in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego. Translated and with an introduction by David Petreman. Winner of the 1964 Chilean National Prize for Literature, Coloane was born in the Chiloe Archipelago in southern Chile.
