![]() The Unquiet Grave Cyril Connolly LITERATURE 1981 PAPER 142 PAGES
The wonderfully digressive collection of essays, epigrams and reflections by the British critic, writer and founder of Horizon, originally published in the magazine in 1944. As it turns out Connolly, who traveled in Africa, was devoted to lemurs. Among the many pleasures of this very quotable farrargo is The Graves of Lemurs, his euolgy for beloved pet ring-tails. With thanks to Penelope Bodry-Sanders (and the Lemur Conservation Foundation), who brought the book to our attention. It's a wise and witty gem.
