This handome book features Norbert Wu's impressive collection of Antarctic photography, under the ice, along the ice edge and out in the rookeries. The book is, in fact, a very good natural history of McMurdo Sound. The 140 color photographs include not just Antarctic sponges, jellyfish and sea urchins but also weddell seals, emperor and Adelie penguins, and orca.
