Bertolucci's luminescent film interweaves the story of three children and their journey to Bhutan with the life of Siddharta. The film was shot in Seattle, Nepal and Bhutan. With Keanu Reeves, Ruocheng Ying, Chris Isaak, and Bridget Fonda. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche acted as a consultant on Buddhism.
