The often hilarious adventures of the pre-revolutionary 23-year-old Ernesto Guevara as he wanders through South America first on the back of his not-so-trusty motorcycle "la Poderosa," then by thumb, stowing away on boats, and every other means on conveyance imaginable. It's a Latin American "On the Road", with the blessing or curse (depending on who you talk to) of having been edited by the older, wiser guerilla fighter and revolutionary.
