The Pilgrim's Guide to Santiago de Compostela

William Melczer
Italica Press

This is the original guide used by 12th-century pilgrims along the sacred way, reprinted with an extensive introduction by a professor of Medieval Studies, a long section of endnotes and a gazetteer of all the sites along the route. It's an excellent, hugely informative presentation of this curiosity of a text, which is remarkably akin to a modern trekking guide.
